On May 30, 2019, Esperanza Academy celebrated their class of 2019 graduates at the Irvine Auditorium on University of Pennsylvania’s campus. The commencement ceremony included a performance by the EA Choir, and remarks by Salutatorian Nicole Lopez, Esperanza President Rev. Luis Cortés, Valedictorian Stefani Turcios-Moya, an alumni address by Stephanie Gago, and closing remarks by Chairman of Esperanza Academy Board of Trustees Rev. Roger Zepernick. This year, the featured commencement speaker was Congressman Brendan Boyle from the United States House of Representatives. The EA class of 2019 will be attending over 50 different colleges or universities and was awarded over $2.3 million in scholarship money.
