“Celebrating Hope for Immigrants: Transforming Generations” 

To Raise Support for Immigration Legal Services in North Philadelphia   

When: Thursday, May 8th from 7:00 – 9:00PM

Where:  Esperanza Arts Center’s Gran Salón, 4261 North 5th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140

What: Esperanza Immigration Legal Services (EILS), a leading immigration legal services non-profit in North Philadelphia with more than 16 years of service, will host its fifth annual fundraising event, Celebrating Hope for Immigrants: Transforming Generations, on Thursday, May 8th, at 7:00PM EST in-person at Esperanza Arts Center’s Gran Salón.

Celebrating Hope for Immigrants: Transforming Generations will highlight the ways in which EILS’ services so often impact the lives of not just one person, but entire families that make up our communities – across the generations.

We will hear from Neury Miguel, his mother and his grandmother, three generations transformed by the hope and agency they have as a result our services. This hope allows Neury Miguel to fulfill his greatest potential as a visual artist, tailor, entrepreneur, and community advocate, and for each of them to have a good quality of life.

Each year, EILS works with hundreds of people to navigate citizenship and other immigration legal processes with comprehensive services to ensure a full life in the United States, from referrals to language support to representation.

The event will be hosted by 6abc Action News reporter Alyana Gomez as we recognize two individuals for their influential work to improve the lives of immigrants in our region: EILS Civic Impact HonoreeHonorable Judge Steven Morley, Of Counsel to Landau, Hess, Simon, Choi & Doebley and EILS Champion HonoreeChef Ange Branca, Founder of Kampar and Muhibbah Dinners.
